Conclusion
In the process of our research of the information system from start to finish we concluded that Parador Rojo is a successful Colombian restaurant. With the prime location in town of familiarity to Colombian food they have created a positive relationship with its customers. We came to realize that the POS system is used throughout the restaurant is the most important factor in this case.
Parador Rojo focuses on a Differentiation Strategy within an industry segment. It provides the best Colombian food around town at a fast service. The variety of food that is provided throughout the day makes them improve on their sales of business.
The way they use their POS system makes the line of business easy for employees of the company. Employee to customer relationship is very high. Only problem that comes into play is the servers not being trained to perfection. They should provide more training to managers and employees on the system they use.
The POS system is very important for their company. It uses a database which tracks sales and inventory data. Basically it is the employees’ most important tool in the restaurant from beginning to end with the customer.
Orlando Alzate was very helpful with everything throughout this project. He answered several questions that were important to the information that was needed to complete the project. We also feel that in order to fulfill the differentiation strategy of the restaurant he needs to stay on top of his employees, have an up rise in social media, and public relations.
